hey my home boy has some shit goin and he has it just in the room with a 1000 watt light his last harvest was pretty good but it seems like it could have been more dense if he wasnt wasting so much light

so im wondering how much difference it owuld make for him to like hang up some cutains in like a 4x4 or 6x6 area and put relfectie material on them so the light isnt covering the whole room

i know i see pics of most growrooms set up like that or in a similar fashion but does it make a huge difference?

thanks for any input ahead of time

Personally in my experience, it makes a pretty good difference. It allows the light to bounce back and forth to the plant giving the plant light to parts it wouldnt normally had gotten, and besides if he is using 1000 watts, he is wasting alot without the reflective surface, it will definantly help. Tell him to do it:)

would a heavy white cloth curtain work or should he put up the curtain and then put like foil or silver wrapping paper or something on it

I am not 100% sure about the curtain itself, I dont know how well it would reflect lighting, but you can get this myrex maybe its called from home depot etc for like 15 bucks for a nice sized roll, that will work perfect. Painting the walls white helps if he doesnt want to set anything up, but ya if anything I would put it over the curtains if you must , im sure it will work much better then the curtain itself, but you will see a great difference in the yield, and the high:)

panda film or plastic is very reflective and easy to clean. Mylar is the "best" provided it is hung right but plain old flat white paint works very well.

i suggest mylar.. this is my first grow but i think it was well worth the money i can notice a big difference and i use only flourescent and cfls, i dont think you want to use tin foil, i heard it reflects heat or some shit im not positive, but i would tell him to drop 20-30 bucks on mylar
