How much cfl wattage for 2-5 lowryder decent yield nothing special just want some quick bud and to do some pollinatin.

If you want it quick and cheap I would get 4-5 6500k bulbs (so, 4 to 5 multiplied by 23watts a piece..looking at close to 100 watts) then I would get a red spectrum 2700k 43watt-ish to throw in there..so I would say 150 watts max if you want to do it that way

I would recomend using 45w CFLs that put out 3,000 Lumes and are 6,500k try to use the strongest light you can for them to help get a higher yeild

right now i got 4 42 watt cfl from wal mart don't know the lumens or anything.

I would use 2 to 3 bulbs(42 watts) per plant. My first plant was grown with 4 cfls and yeilded 1.5 ounces.

if you plan on using over 4 bulbs of 32 watts or 42 watts then hps would be the best option..cfls shoudnt be a option..

let me see 3 to 4 CFL bulbs from walmart 10.00
HPS 150.00 No choice here..
I'll stick with the CFL and let us HPS guys deal with the heat.
By the way if anybody needs a HPS cool tube(tube, reflector) I have one to get rid of.

how much for the cooltube... a 150 hps cost 69.99 a 70 watt hps cost 20 dollars and still way better than cfls..what kind of cfls you getting 13 watts 4 for ten dollars.

Walmart had them on sale 4(red) for 9.98 and 2 (blue) for 7.78 a month ago. I was going to use tubes from walmart but with the room we had the CFL lights were a better choice. we are redoing our flower room I'll post pics when it complete..
