you flush 2 weeks before harvesting. and you start your flowering when your canopy is well covering your grow surface (when u dont need anymore growing).
Happy you will find some that do it by the hairs but not many... start counting the day you switch to 12/12... and get a scope or jewelers loop in the next couple weeks to check your trichomes.
