I dunno, but every time I scroll past this point I get concerned. It may be the lighting, but check for Botrytis.

bud leaves are grey today. Is this because the hps was vertical 1 inch away or shiity low temps at night out in cold shed in ireland

How cold are the temps?

Pull that bud open (carefully) and look where those sugar leaves attach to the stem. What’s happening in here?

It kinda looks like light burn made a few leaves crispy, but the color is weird...
