How many square feet....

a 1000w lamp is good for how many square feet because I am going to relocate my gow and I need to know how much space I can use for my 11 plants with the 1 lamp ?

I have a pair of 600w lamps, air-cooled, on a light mover. Is it reasonable to say that I can light a 4'x15' area with the lights low enough and constantly moving back and forth slowly across the track?

Thanks Bonz. I've got 8 42"x21" aero tubs that I wanted to line up along the wall and get good coverage for all of them with the equipment I have. Hopefully this will do the trick along with some CO2 supplementation.

Is this accurate? Can't you do 2 x 400w and cover a 6x6 area and save 200watts power rather than going with a 1000w for a smaller area?
It is more efficient to use lower wattage systems in terms of energy consumption and area being covered. If I had the money I would have purchased 3 400 watters rather than my two 600 setup. Oh well at least my trays have casters so I rotate my plants daily a quarter turn clockwise to get even light distribution rather than be reliant on light movers.
