i had a 150hps in a 2.5ftsq tent. i used the bottom third for veg with T5
fit as many as you can. i had 6 in 2gal pots, got about an oz off each one.

sorry but i have to demand pics of that. that's quite a claim. not quite calling bullshit but you can see why i would be skeptical. i was going to tell the guy that yes 3 is pushing it. i use a 400w hps and i think 4 is pushing it and i use 8 inch pots about a foot or less below the light.

if ur getting around a gram per watt with a 150hps i too would love to see pics of your set up,
what would be the better choice/

if you are planning on flowering with the same light i would definately forget about that last light. that's not enough t5 light to flower with. i would go with the hps first, and the cfls as a second option. if you want to use t5 all the way through you need more tubes and i would still reccomend supplemental side cfl or t5 lighting in that case also. it depends a lot on the space you're using and how large you want them to finish at.
