How many plants will a 400w HPS do ?

Im trying to decided between an 400w and a 600w hps, will have about 10 plants...what do u think ?

use a six..... i have 6 plants and 2 400 hps and a 1000 mh

well for 10 id get a 600watt!a 400watt is good for 6 maybe upto 8 but it all depends on how you wana grow,a 10 plant sog for example would be ok under a 400 watt hps but you might aswell just get a 600watter,that'll be ok for 10, plus more watts=more lumens which usually = bigger yeild.you should try and get one which takes both mh and hps bulbs if you planning on using the light from start to finish.

get the 600, its the best bang for your buck as it will give you the most lumen's per watt, and will not cost much more then a 400....

600 HPS with a digital ballast... I just keep buy the same set up every time I get a chance to expand....
