How many plants under 400 hps??

Just wondering how many nice 3-4 ft plants could be successfully grown under a 400w Hps.. thx for the help

I had 5, which were to many for a standard grow IMO, next time going to 4. Depends on space really, or you could pile them in and do a scrog

The general rule of thumb is 1 plant per 100W - four should be fine.

Thx.. newb here.. could i fit more and increase my yield if i LST or SOG my plants?? I have four in my room now, from 12.5 in.View attachment 1376567-17in.. 1 plant already showed female preflowers.. should i wait for others to preflower or go ahead and switch the light cycle? heres sum picsView attachment 1376566
