How many plants in a 5'x6' with a 1000w HID?

Just trying to make sure I have my ducks in a row. I can only have 3 foot tall plants due to height restrictions, that is keeping the air cooled hood 18" away. I am going to try to squeak another foot out of the room maybe cut the floor and recess my pots in it if it would be worth the trouble to gain 8-12 inches of growing room. I am planning on vegging one month before switching to 12/12. How many plants to maximize yield in my situation? I bought nine 3 gallon pots and enough FFOF for them. You guys think I should go with more than nine plants/pots? I am going to run the Go Box from General Organics for fertilizer. And have some dog and cheese surprise seeds from BB.

9 should fill it out pretty nicely with a month veg, height restriction it the one thing I hate about tents

7 inch veg total about 24 inches final height. so easy 10 plants

if your doing a closet grow, i suggest a SOG (sea of green) method, with you limited height it may be best, with SOG you can fit 4 plants per foot. check out my sig for cabinet ideas

You might wanna invest in a grow "bible". Most grow books have charts and photos. The one out of Jorge's larger grow book has a great breakdown.

I just watered the soil was completely dry before I watered, and why is the top growth clawing up? Thanks

okay, cause leafs will tend to bend or get heavy with water from over watering, you can try and bend your leaf a little and if it feels tense or not so flexible its probably over watering, cause your leafs look fat and heavy

If your not overwatering how r ur temps and ventilation, and how far away ur lights ...

Is there lime in ur mix? What's ur ph? 1tbsp/gal water of dolomite lime drench won't hurt. What r u feeding it? A simple powder like 10 10 10 is good. Use the half rate on your little plant for 3-4 more weeks. Okee dokee?
