how many plants can i grow using 26 watt CFLs?

Im going to start my plant in a 1 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot demension. Yes i no its small but it actually is just enough room to start it off for where im going to move it. I will use 1 cfl 26 watt for these demensions. Do you think it will be alright since its such a small area? this will not be going on till flowering. i will move a little bit before that. i do have like 3 other cfls just incase i need them.

PEACE. While it is said that you can use as little or as many cfl's as you want you should always aim for the higher amount or higher wattages. I grow with 23,27, and 13 watt cfls and I have 20 around 7 plants.

For you to do it i would suggest that you add the others now because as you get more bud and they start growing you will want to provide them with the best light and the most light that they can take. Cfl's are not that strong in the lumens part (where it counts for plants) and therefore you will hae to supplement for that fact. You can grow great bud and have great results with cfl's if you use them right.

FIRST: they should be placed as close to the foliage as possible without burning them. That means about 2-6 inches away fro the plant.

SECOND: you must take care to move the lights almost everyday becasue they are ging to be close and the plants are going to grow into them quickly (unless you have done something for them not to)

THIRD: you WILL have to eventually use more light in the latter stages of development in order to supply the bud with the high demand for light. Therefore, the struggle is going to be not putting too much light in that it is TOO HOT (yes CFL's get just as hot although not hot like HIDs).

LASTLY you want to read the thread GROWING WITH CFL'S TUTORIAL by DR. CHRONIC which has a guide that you should find easy and understandable for your or any situation.

im trying to imagine a 1 foot cube and i dont see that having enough room ^^ i know pc grows are tiny but their still over 12 inches tall

hahah i no it sounds small as hell but my box is in a pc cabinet. so when i transfer it the room it has to spread is like 3 feet by 3 feet and 1 foot. It should work fine also i dont want a big grow or i would use the hole cabinet i just dont want my fiends finding it since that where we play xbox =) so i can play and grow in peace.

tru dat homie... blackmessiah did a real good job at explaining it for you without bashing you... i think cfl growers are alot more humble in the sense, they dont talk shit.... we get enough shit talked to us for using cfl's.. we know how it feels for someone to say "ahh... your using a cfl, you oughtta just throw your seeds in a ditch and be happy with what you get..." that was almost a direct quote from one of my threads... cfl's WILL produce bud... if you look in my thread, you can see how i upped my watts every couple weeks or so.. the 42w 2700k cfl put off the least amount of heat... just something to consider.. i think i paid like 5 or 6 bucks for it at target... my buds were growing with 26w, but it got really fat when i put the 42 w in... the last few weeks i ended up boosting that 42w to 68w by adding two 13w bulbs in with the 42w... heat was becoming an issue with my filters on, so i took them off and it did fine... hope this helps a lil... any other questions homie, feel free to post them in my thread in my sig... thanx and deuce deuce nuccah...
