How many people know that you grow?

LOL, cannot even trust the old lady. Also, if someone gets angry at you (even a family member) they may rat you out. Some probably use blackmail to get free weed. Why tell anyone since you cannot really trust anyone. Everybody has a friend or family member they confide in because most people cannot keep a secret. I'd say that half the town knows that Wizzlebiz is growing weed and he is clueless. By next year, the whole town will know.

Like they used to say during WWII, "Loose Lips Sink Ships"
Would point out the 'old lady' is probably the person you should trust least in the world.
Come the breakup (statistically a better than 50% chance), she'll be straight on the phone to the police reporting you.

Well I’m thinking without selling anything they won’t have evidence to pull a warrant with
Be careful. I don’t know where you live and don’t want to. But I wouldn’t assume much of anything. Police can end up inside your home for reasons completely unrelated to growing.

I will give an example. A friend of mine in the US had his brother and his fiancé over for drinks and a movie one night. No one knew he grew. Brother and fiancé got into a stupid drunk argument, which the neighbors overheard, and called the police.

Things had calmed down when the police got there, but they were required to enter and do a welfare check due to domestic violence laws in the state they were in. 10 years later... he’s lost it all. Girlfriend, house, vehicles, etc. For 3 personal use plants in the basement.

So, even if no one knows, I don’t recommend bringing people, things, or attention to your grow area if you are in an illegal situation.

Never open the door for them. I lock my storm door just for this reason. They can't legally open a closed door without a warrant or "probable cause?"

And in Michigan I'm seeing grows everywhere. In public view. See how that goes as I drive by.

But to answer the question. Five serious and about 10 learning. About 40 within 5 miles of my house. Things you see on a bike.

Yep, “probable cause” being the issue. Added some details. I had another friend lose his grow but not his freedom because of a wellness check called in by his mother, who he hadn’t spoken to in a few weeks. She called the police and said she hadn’t heard from him in a week, and they put a boot through the door when he didn’t answer.

I love off grid. That doesn't actuallyean shit. Basically every off gridder within 12 miles and forgot to mention I am in the airports take off and landing path so probably 100 or so private pilots and countless vacationers. Not to mention possibly the local police pilots as there copters frequently grace the airspace on the edge of our property. I know for a fact were.seen airborn as a handful of pilots wave there wings when we wave.

All in all WAY TO MANY.

I've tracked down single outdoor plants in the fall from a half mile with my nose. How many people are in your radius? Food for thought.

Odd that,
My plants never smell of anything, and the flowers don't really smell much either (growing or cured).
I've only ever grown one stinker.

I've always assumed modern cannabis strains are bred for THC content and not smell, a bit like modern roses ......
When I was young roses smelled wonderful, now they're just pretty odourless flowers, bred for their looks.

I live in Canada, where it has been legal for a bit. I can name 4 people within a mile radius who grow, indoors. I can smell their indoor plants being pushed through the dryer exhaust.

During winter, it’s even easier. The air is very still and hangs around, people pump it out via their dryers and furnaces, and it hangs in the streets in front of their house. All that warm, moist air just falls right down about nose level.

If anything, modern weed has focus on terpenes as a benefit.
