How Much Light Do Your Cannabis Plants Require?
Roughly, the lux ranges below are best suited to their corresponding stage of the growing cycle:
• Clone and seedling stage: 5,000–7,000 lux
• Vegetative stage: 15,000–50,000 lux
• Flowering stage: 45,000–65,000 lux
Put the lux meter at top of canopy, raise or lower light to get optimum lux reading depending at what stage the plants are, ie seedlings, vegging or flowering.
Whats the exact light you have?
Does the light have dimmer switch fitted?
I have a lux meter and when switching to led I followed all of the conversion charts I could find with shitty results. I broke down and bought a par meter and was instantly able to dial in and my plants immediately loved life again.

Did you get light bleaching on yours? I had a lux meter from a mate and while it dialed in the CFL pretty well, I got light bleaching on my same wattage quantum boards.

No bleaching, but the plants weren't happy. I think it may have been the ir diodes being to close. I tried everything I could to make a lux meter work but was not satisfied. I broke down and bought a par meter and my plants instantly responded when dialed in to proper par. I'm not a fan of technology and don't like wasting money, but for me the par meter was well worth it. Without it I would have just gone back to hps.
