How many lights for one plant?!

Right now I am trying to learn how to grow so I'm only growing one plant until I get the hang of it. Ive planted the seed, now just waiting for it to sprout. As of now I have one 42watt(150 equivalent) 2700 CFL hanging about 2 inches from the soil. Im thinking this should be good until the plant starts growing. My question is how much more light would I need for this one plant and would it be alright using 2700 for both veg/flow?

Heres a pretty easy way to figure the bare minimum in CFLs for your grow--start to finish....

Never use any output smaller than 100watt because it's a waste of $$$ and not efficient (unless ya already have em-- then do the math and use the equivalent!)

Sprouts to 3 leafers--2 lights for up to 6 sprouts
3 leafers till 10-12 inches--1 light per plant
10-12 inches till they go 12/12-- 2 lights per plant
12/12 till harvest-- 3 lights per plant, additional side/back lighting helpful

OR you can get the BIG CFL's That are 100-150w usage 500-600w output in a decent reflector (These do NOT fit in household or regular fixtures!
You MUST get the special ones made just for them!) ...
and use 1 for every 2 - 3 plants

Most people say you want 6500 instead of 2700 for veg. but opinions vary. Did you germinate the seed or just put it straight into the soil?

you must mean not actual watts it uses but the incandesent equivalent then?
