How Many CFL lights?

I want to veg indoors on six of my plants, two 1 1/2 foot clones and four 1 foot seedlings. How many CFL lights do I need for them?

I want to eventually add 600w HID MH to the veg set up, but I can't afford it right at the moment (and the electricity is not sufficient yet in my grow area).

Well For growing u need like 5000 lumens per plant. So it all depends on the wattage of bulbs u are going to get. 26w CFL is like 1600 lumens.

so like 5 per plant then? shit, thats a lot of CFL lights!

No you only need 100 for 1 plant then 50 for each additional one, you just got to make sure they are within inches of foliage.

so four CFL's for the first one and two for each additional one? I will have to rig something up for that, but it will be done... any recommendations on how to set it up with what I have in my veg room? You can see pics in the last few pages of my journal...
