How long? - WW

Hey, im nearing 6 weeks with my WW plants and they are looking really good (i've never grown before but I can easily tell they are looking good, not droopy thick stalk)

I was just wondering, how long do I wait until they flower, then how long do I need to wait until I can harvest from flower?

i.e;

12 weeks veg

6 weeks flower?

Thanks for reading :)

WW usually takes 10 weeks to flower.

If you veg for 4 weeks and get 16 in tall plants they will finish at about 45 in tall. Thats average for indoor.
So the amount of veg time really dictates how big it gets. you can veg for two months or a week.
As its growing look at the plant, figure 3 times that size once you flip to 12/12.

Do you have the space is the question.

hey sp32 what lights are you using mate as this has a bearing on when you flower, and what space you got?

You can flower whenever you want. It's just a light cycle. If you can't wait because of other variables (i.e. vacation, et cetera), I'd flower now.

Thanks for that advice I really didn't know you can flower when you want, I have a lot of space and im using mixed lights, lower kelving + high kelvin, cfls

I think i'll switch to 12/12 starting from when the lights go off

widdows take a long time 10 weeks is a good estamate but you can only truly know when the time comes just like all strains.

Should I start flowering now? It's gonna be 7 weeks on the 2nd

Also should I remove my higher kelvin lights and just leave the 2.5k lights on?

LOL 7 weeks huh?

I think you better leave the lights. You are going to need them.
Maybe you should consider a bit of training. bend the main cola sideways and tie it down. This will lower the overall height and allow the lower buds to catch up some get enough light to them.

Hey Sp32,
Just some comparison pics for you.

This is 2 months Vegging White Widow

Yours are like 3 times the size of mine

and I can't do the lst because the stalk will snap

Im getting stressed because everyone elses seem to be doing so much better than mine,

Do you want me to take some pictures and explain a bit of my set up so we can see what im doing wrong?

Should I buy 'Big Bud - Bloom Booster'? or something similar?

I'm gonna be getting quite a bit of money soon so I can invest into more stuff, so please give me ideas on things what will help

I want mine like Joes!

Thanks, Sp32

I leaned my plants more to the side so the middle and bottom of the plant get more light and im going to invest in some much higher watt lights

Check out this 2 month veg. Thats a 3 gallon pot in front for size. The pot its currently in is meant for nursery trees.

Grown from an underdeveloped bagseed.

Its not about genetics or the amount of money you put in, its a weed. It will grow without fancy expensive crap.

Using a proper wet dry cycle will help your plant get way way WAY bigger than any other method. I've dropped nutes on this girl about 3 times outside of FFOF soil. 1 transplant. Big roots mean big ladies. Let your soil dry out almost completely between waterings then soak the root ball. I mean soak, slowly water until its running out the bottom into the drip tray, let it sit 15 minutes. If the roots haven't pulled the water back up into the pot, you can dump it out. Let it dry out again before you water. You can experiment with 2 waterings then 1 dry phase, or 1 water 1 dry, its up to you. MJ is a plant that originated in climates with severe drought and its designed to resist it, but I'd still get a moisture meter so you don't let it go too long.

Soak the root ball = Water the plant until water comes out of the bottom

Also out of both pictures yours and Joe's my fully grown fan leaves look a lot bigger but there are a lot less, is this something what should be mentioned?

Here are some pictures to help you get a better idea of what my plants are like, I took them around 2 minutes ago so yeah

the brown liquid = vinegar for gnats what get in there

Anyway here they are:

OK Sp,

1st things 1st.
In order to get big plants you have to one: Veg longer
Ok which you have.

But the most important thing is light.

I dont know what you are using to vegg with, but it's not enough.

I had a 400w on those girls is why they got so big.
Its ok if you are using Flouro lights.
But the watts have to add up.
Cfl are cheap but you seriously have to surround them in it.
and get them close to your plants.
Whatever you have in the room you basically need to double the light in there.
Get some "y" sockets and bombard them with light.

What Joe said, bigger plants need more light.

As far as your leaves looking "bigger", they're bigger proportionally to the size of your plant. The lady I posted is a lil better than 3 feet across.

Thans Joe, I am definately going to do that, on ebay there are grow cfls which look awesome:

125w Dual Spectrum CFL & hanger hydroponics grow light <- goes up to 300 watts from what i've seen so far

With alternative BLUE 6400K & RED 2700K filaments

I want to buy a couple of these and leave my current lights around the sides of my plants and those above my plants

The smaller ones are better.
No sense in ordering them. Just go to Wally or a local home improvement store.
Get a contractor pack of 100w equivalent cfls.
$21
Daylight 5500k

closest hardware store is about an hours walk + we dont get walmart in my undisclosed location ;)

Thanks for the advice fellow growers :)!!
