Please show me a test where YOU measured the EC of a plant.......... not the medium the plant is growing in.
I’ve seen the actual scientific tests, and they’ve been posted around here. I also have a basic understanding of biology and how plants work.
The scientific tests have even been posted here many times for everyone to read and be able to understand. You can’t remove nutrients from a plant by flushing water through the roots. The science has shown that the mineral content does not change inside a plant when you flush it.
In fact is basic biology that a plant intakes light energy and nutrients and Converts them into sugars for energy and building blocks for growth. It doesn’t just suck up nutrients and store the raw minerals inside.
You can keep your head in the sand and do whatever you want in your garden but don’t bother sharing false information with others and confusing them.

For all of you flushers, why don't you just wait until the plant is ready to harvest before doing so? Why even risk starving them? Sometimes something will come up and I have to delay my harvest. If I had a deadline I would have a lot of depleted plants. You can get coco's EC to match your water in a day if you flush enough. I'm not sure about soil, but two weeks seems like a long time to live off of reserves.

Oh I don't just believe that one link. I've done multiple side by side grow tests with identical clones grown in identical conditions until the point of "flushing" at which point the test samples were only given water after "flushing" the medium clean in a hydro system. While I didn't have the ability to have tissue samples lab analyzed like they did in that study, I was still shown that there was no significant difference in the plants that were flushed vs not. They lost a little bit more leaf color, but otherwise were pretty identical.
I'm actually all for people feeding just water the last week or so if they want to save some money on nutrients. HOWEVER, it is not removing anything from the plant which was the first point I made to you. Also feeding with just water isn't "flushing", its just watering without nutrients....... Flushing always meant running EXTRA water through your medium to lower the nutrient levels in the medium. It actually has a purpose when growing if you overdo the nutrients early on. But it never removes anything from the plant, just the medium and it CAN DAMAGE ROOTS which may slow growth so its better not to over feed in the first place.
You can google all you want, but I've never seen an actual botanist or agricultural specialist encourage "flushing". I don't mean some cannabis "expert" or "master grower" I mean a real scientist. Which is infact why I like the Green RX study, it was done by real scientists, not just cannabis "pros". There is a reason no other crops get "flushed", and its because it doesn't do anything.

Sorry about the delay, I agree with most of the above I don't flush as in starving the plant it gets matured then 4 days of water.
What come out of the wick in the above photo was distributed through the plant if I'd chopped it I was trappings nutrient salts in the plant, given 4 days of water empties its system of nutrient to 0.0

Flushing. It is something I used to do because it said so in the High Times.
Experience has taught me that it is a load of rubbish. Find me another commercially produced commodity plant in the entire world that employs flushing. You won't. At harvest time you want a plant to be in tip top condition, you won't achieve this by starving the plant. Starving the plant will stress it. If a plant is stressed it will perform less well.
I will admit that as my plants reach maturity I will steadily reduce the concentration of the nutrients, not because I believe that it will make my weed taste better or any silly shit like that, just because there is a law of diminishing returns. Two weeks before the look like they are going to be ready I will drop the concentration of my liquid feed by 50% and cut out the epsom salts. In the last week I will cut it down to 25% and by the final watering they will get just water.
To the OP, those plants look pretty good, well done. Just keep doing what you are doing and be patient. I reckon you have at least another month to go.
