How long should roots be on germinated seeds before planting?

I've never grown before but am currently germinating 88 seeds. And I was wondering how long should I let the roots grow before I take them out of germination and plant them outside?

88 seeds at one time? I guess you are going to be checking all of the plants everyday for males?

the tap root should some what stight thats when I plant them into the soil
I put a seed in when the tap root was curved and the plant grew sideways....

i have seen if you let the tap root grow to long it will make a male. i throw mine in the pucks or soil as soon as i see the roots. usualy only 2 to 3 days at the most

i don't mean to come off mean but why would you want 88 plants? helocopters could spot that. good luck though!!
