how long into flowering will i be able to tell what the sex of my plant is? im growing indoors in soil. i changed the lighting cycle about a week ago from 24 hours of light to 12 hours of light 12 hours of dark. any help would be great

Usually, a plant will show sex in 7-14 days. Sometimes it can take longer depending on the strain.

im into 2nd week of flowering after 5/6 weeks of vegging. mine took about 7 days. strains are the "church" and "la woman".

It also depends on the maturity of the plant before entering flowering stage. If the plant had not reached maturity yet when switching to flowering stage, it might take a bit longer to show sex.

My plant was mature upon entering flowering stage and showed 'definite' sex within 10 days. Also, since she was mature upon going into flowering stage, she was showing signs before flowering that she was female.

Its all about when the plant wants to show. I did a grow last year where all but two of my plants showed sex within the first 10 days. Two of them were stubborn and took almost a month to show sex. They were all germ'd and veg'd at the same time. Veg was about 4 weeks long.

Most likely you should see signs of sex very soon. Normally takes a week or two.

Look where the branches meet the main stem.... you will know when you see it....

i seen the sex of mine with in like 3-4 days i saw i had balls...they say females take longer so that is probably why...

also i am not using any nutes, will that make a difference in how long it will take? I still haven't been able to tell what the sex is.

It all depends on how mature your plant was when you switched to 12/12... how many blades did the fan leaves have? How many nodes were there?

You should start to see the "sex indicators" somewhere around 7-14 days... You will know when you see them... If the plant wasn't fully mature and ready to flower when you switched to 12/12, then it will continue to mature (veg) until it's ready to flower... So technically, it could take a couple weeks...

but more than likely... a week or 2...
