How long does the full bho process take?

Was wondering how long the process take to process a lb of bud or trim into shatter. Takes my shatter guy around 2-3 weeks seems too long to me.

Must be over puryfing if it takes him that long

How long should it take? I'm curious

Professional with good gear like 3 4 days at most depending how you purify and what your making if its wax or shatter for example

Home n00b style done RIGHT should take a few days maybe 3

Isn't purging the most time consuming part or is it winterizing?

Depends I guess, first part I would do no heat, just use warm water baths till you get something semi workable then vacuum till content, finally winterizing should take 12 hours in freezer, but Id do one last vacuum pass after winterizing

Is some of that time dedicated to drying the weed?

He has me freeze the trim

It depends on the process. Using frozen trim and subzero LPG, a WolfWurx Mk IVC takes about an hour and 30 minutes for a 3.5 lb Cotton Candy run, and about four hours in an oven under heat and vacuum to get the residual solvent below 500 ppm. It can be below 50 ppm in a day.

So if I give my buddy 2lbs of frozen trim how long should it take min-max to get it done. I've waited over a month before trying to find out if he is on bullshit

We could do it in a day. Your buddy could certainly do it in less than a week if they get right on it.

Wut would you recommend to speed up initial purge? I dont want any flames, but dont want to leave it sitting outside in warm water having to change it constantly.

Would leaving it at an open window on top of heating water radiator suffice? No flames just the warmth from the radiator

There is no purge before the vacuum oven. We extract the concentrate from the Terpenator as cotton candy.

That's done by keeping the collection pot at 70/85F and pulling a hard vacuum once most of the butane has been recovered, so that it inflates the concentrate into foam and dries it into shatter in that condition.

So you do closed loop and recycle?

Im a first timer just gonna try open blast with an oz, leave it in warm watter then vacuum and finally winterize with 200% ethanol overnight and one more vacuum, from waht I understand its a good purification if done right despite doing it with ghetto tools

When we open blasted, we left the concentrate container in the hot water until the visable liquid was gone and it stopped bubbling, and then added the alcohol. We then filtered and stuck in the freezer 48 hours to precipitate out the waxes before filtering again.
