how long do clones take to root

Can't remember as its a while since i did it last but how long do clones take to root out of small rockwool cubes.

Keep them warm, enclosed in a dome, and always moist...

They root at different rates, but as long as they are
warm they shall survive...
 
14 days, you should be seeing some roots. Did you use a rooting hormone? Keep they moist, not too wet. How tall are they? Do they look healthy? Are you misting the leaves daily? I use a dome too to keep em warm and humid. :peace:

Yes used rooting hormone, yes kept moist in a heated propagator, I wouldnt say too wet.

Yes been misting and they look fine all standing straight when I pull on them they seem solid like they are rooted but still no roots

What do you think?

Give it a few more days, how big is the medium plug you have them in, if thick may take a bit longer to get through the cubes. If they are still green, and healthy looking, keep misting the leaves daily and it should work. Do you have dome on them. Under 24 hour light? This should be working, give it a few more days. If the plugs get too wet, squeeze out the extra water, keep em moist, not wet. :peace: :mrgreen:
 
In 1 1/2" rockwool plugs so not that big. All nice and green and looking fine, keeping the plugs just moist. Under a humidity tent and in 18 hours light (not6 much I can do about this)

So I'll just leave them longer

Ya, my last clones took long to root. But once they did, they really took off. You never know, they grow on thier own. Be patient and see what happens. You are doing all the right stuff. :mrgreen: :peace:
 
We have had them take up to a month with purple strains not sure if it is normal or not. I say if they are green and health then keep waiting. Could light be stopping the roots from showing? Just a thought I have had a few times. O do your clones have new growth? I have had that happen too. COuld not see any roots but got new growth so I planted it in soil and it took off in a couple days.
 
you should start letting them dry out a bit, i.e. clones begin to wilt, before watering again. this will encourage cutting to make roots. I find that after a week they will remain turgid without a dome even when they have no roots, this is when you can start letting them dry out a little.
 
Clones take 2 weeks to root, roots will be there after a week but ive found removing them for the propogater after only a week slows their overall growth. Leaving them in for the extra week makes all the difference.:joint:
