How long can you wait to purge after blasting?

I have 4 oz of trim and I'm going to blast my first batch. I have everything needed. My buddy blasts/purges weekly and I was going to blast my trim at home then drive to him to purge. He lives about 3 hrs away...

Would it be ok to blast at home, let the bho evaporate in the car for 3 hrs and then purge it once I arrive at his house? I'd skip the water bath (unless it's necessary) and let it evaporate on its own. Thanks !

Do not let it evaporate in your car
If you must do that i would reccomend the water bath until you have evaporated off most of the butane, or until it is getting stable.

Before you do anything you need to do more research.
There are lots of good info in this section.

Be safe, I'll try to post some links of the more helpful threads

If matt rize get's a hold of a news clip of a car that burst into flames while driving and they found a pyrex in the debris I'll know it was you. As long as it's purged down to the proper point you could take it inside then you'll be fine. My imagination goes wild when i think of a pyrex dish sloshing about in a moving combustion engine vehicle.

No I will let it evaporate for about 2 hrs before I head out. I'm familiar with the dangers. My main question was can it be vacuum purged a few hours after blasted without any problems? And yes my buddy has a vacuum purge as he blasts about a pound of trim a week. Thanks for the replys

If you blast into a container floating in a hot tap water bath, when it stops bubbling and solidifies, it is suitable for transport, as there won't be enough butane left for concern about its flammable properties.

A couple of hours before a vacuum purge isn't going to make much difference, if any.
