how long can weed plants survive with nothing?

Since I live in Texas, we are prone to hurricanes every year. When Ike hit, we had to evacuate and we were gone for a week. My question how long would weed plants last if I had to leave and we lost power and there was no one to water them? I know there are many factors to consider so does anyone out there have any stories about this happening to them or someone they know? any suggestions on preparing to leave in a situation like that? thanks guys!

depends on strain, how big pots are, temps etc a week without water is a long time tho .. i left for a weekend and one of my plants died (luckily it was a male)

I guess they would be getting little to no light if it was a slow moving storm just wondering if anyone has had to go through this before

Usualy... 1 Week. After that they will start having problems...

My set up is 3 day straight with adds , 1 day with water only then 3 day with adds. Sometimes when isee the foil still watered i skip days to the plant will rush to get the water so all the root will take expension and give the plant a better growup. (sorry for my english im french canadian native.)

After the first 2-3 day your plants will rly need water unless your doing it with cube (hydro) or if you do it in bucket... after 2-3 day the plant start to need water then after 4-5 days the leaves start to show deshydratation. depend whats the temperature too (usualy i keep it around 70-80)

if your going to leave for a week... give em alot of water and put a kind of... plate under each plant and put water in it... so plant will drink it once their done with the water in the bucket and also the roots will give a rush to get to that water so good for roots expension (but its not a must cuz your plant can get overdosed with water (not that bad but aint that good) only do this when you need to leave for long period of time.

Ok If You Leave for a week and its in indoor soil do what i said in previous post.

Dont worry i got experience with indoor

man... you need to use timer with your ballast... so it can switch room by itself..

I lost power after a icestorm once &went 3 days w/out light. they seemed stunted but after a week of lights,all was well
