How long can trimmings last in the freezer?

I've always kept my trimmings in the freezer until I had enough to make a batch of hash and it's seemed to have worked fine.

yes, the trichomes will become brittle and break off, in fact make people freeze bud to mash precisely because of this reason. As long as you have a batch to catch any that break you should be fine. Freeze should slow/stop decompositionHow long can they last? And is there any negative reasons as to why not to freeze trim? I was thinking the Trichomes would freeze up and break off or something...

what do you mean by "as long as you have a batch to catch any that break" , I would assume that you just put the trim into ziplock bags and freeze.
