I have been seeing this mom on the news that allegedly got busted with 12lbs of jane and watching how the media and politicians are leaning on the judicial system to let her go. Regardless if she is guilty aren't they getting tired of this game? While cartels destroy the country we have 18 states medical and 2 legal and estimating at least 2 more states legal by 2016. They also have Former Mexican president on the pro legal bandwagon, groups marching in the street what on earth are they waiting for? It just doesn't make sense that they keep this up.

An American asking why there is a drug war in Mexico.

I guess I hadn't heard it all.

"Former" president is key. His hand is out of the till, no need for stroking poor policy any longer. Our government will let them know when its time. They have 30 states still earning for them it ain't happening soon.

Outrageous HSBC Settlement Proves the Drug War is a Joke
The banks' laundering transactions were so brazen that the NSA probably could have spotted them from space. Breuer admitted that drug dealers would sometimes come to HSBC's Mexican branches and "deposit hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, in a single day, into a single account, using boxes designed to fit the precise dimensions of the teller windows."

You would think it would benefit the government by legalizing and save a shit load of citizens.

That would be assuming there weren't another game in town. cn

jails and getting arrested amount to morw money
in there eyes at least
nice post cn.

It's sad, but I cannot argue against it. Behold the true enemy in the drug war imo. This will keep us all underground when (in my estimation, this is pretty likely) the current almost-legalization trend is sharply truncated by the Center. I await the consequences of Sativex™. cn

consider this, they lock up thousands of people, which equals bail money spent, probation fees,
not to mention what the goverment supplies to jails to cover individual inmate expense,
then ya got court cost, and if ya get caught with money they takin that too.
now.try to visulize yheir thoughts on mary j, there thinking the underground market will
stay the same, so fuck legalizing it when they can make as much or more busting people
even though the gov. is.making shit tons why would.they legalize it, there not making most of the profits
anyhow, the.growers/ dispen. are so there ya go

OMFG i can't believe i am about to give a prestigious 4 stars to a nontheist thread.

almost unthinkable.

Well, I thought I understood the Star System for thread.....I guess I don't, yet.

Mexico. Folks seem to think Mexico is like the USA. Canada is much closer to the US in self rule, than Mexico.
Mexico's civil law system is derived primarily from Roman law as set forth in the compilation of codes and statutes of the Emperor Justinian,
called Corpus Juris Civilis, and later refined in the French or Napoleonic Code of 1804

Yet, they have a Consitution with Rights. More Rights than Canada. And more Constitution than Britain or Oz. (none in both cases)

 • 2. Abolition of slavery. (Ratification, the Decree of Abolition of Slavery was made on September 15, 1829)[SUP][9][/SUP]
 • 3. Free tuition (no limit in favor of dogma or religion).
 • 5. Freedom of vocation, a ban on contracts with loss of freedom for the sake of work, education or religious vows.
 • 7. Freedom of speech.
 • 10. Right to bear arms.
 • 39. The sovereignty of the nation comes from the people.

Mexico
- presumption of guilt
- no bail
- pleading guilty gains the light sentence
- road side fines are a fact of life
- 91% conviction rate

I see they did release that women from the bus, last night. Got the $ on the table.
