How late into flowering can colloidal spray effective?

Sorry not sure if im posting on the right thread

If it's like STS you want to start spraying a week or 2 before you flip to flower.

The plant needs 6 plus weeks to develop mature seeds
So late in flower would not leave enough time in the plants life
