I'm on day 7 of Champix right now. I was easily a pack a day smoker and have quit for 3 days now and going strong.

Crazy thing about it is that I just don't crave the cigarettes anymore. I keep waiting for the withdrawal but it just hasn't come yet. Stay strong bro

i smoked cigs for 12 years. And quit 15 years ago. I just carried a pen in my hand at all.times. And smoked a bowl instead of a cigarette. After the first 3 weeks. Its easy. Then you don't want to smoke anything for a while because your throat becomes more sensitive once all the nicotine clears out. When i quit. Cigs were still $2 a pack. That was right before the first tax hike on cigs and the

Will power is an important factor to any compulsive behavior,
I started smoking only once I arrived in the UK, and again quit about 15 years later moving out to my island,
everybody I knew in the UK smokes cigs, and still does ..
but in my new life, smoking cigs is seriously dumb,
many drugs are around now to make life easier for smokers, Zyban the one I tried was the best.
Unfortunately I've dropped my cig smoking buddies,
as I know if around them ...I'd only continue, as I did at a Christmas party,
I rolled a UK spliff, it was fantastic, so I use it for very very special moments.

See your compulsive syndrome as a hidden positive talent,
that ....if you try you can succeed ..
at anything!

Good Luck

Are you still smoke free or did you fall off the wagon? I hear quitting nicotine is harder than quitting heroine. Although I've known a few ppl to quit cold turkey.
Never smoked but I have quite an affinity for candy cigarettes. I know...they're just not the same.
Really, I thought when the price jumped to more than a dollar a pack no one would buy them. Now what are they priced at...like six, seven bucks? Holy shit.
Need an update...enquiring minds want to know.

Vaping was my chosen method of quitting smoking. I smoked for 20 years, decided to pick up a decent e-cig and haven't smoked a single cigarette since the day I picked up my e-cig. 13 months going strong and not a hint of craving a cig. Vaping lets you have your nicotine and simulates smoking to help with the habit of pulling out a smoke. You get your fix without combusting a slew of chemicals...just some oil and nicotine. I feel so much better...smokers cough 100% gone and I got my "wind" back.

Plus, the $ savings is great. I mix my own e-juice, so the cost is ridiculously low.

Just an update for me fellas. Quit smoking at the start of Jan this year and haven't touched one since--- thanks in part to going on Champix.

More of just an fyi for those who might need help quitting.

Cheers

Not true - that's a cop out.
I smoked & dipped for over 20 years & quit cold turkey - and my wife still smokes.
I haven't touched a cig in 12 or so years - they make me nauseous now.
