How hot does a 250 MH and HPS get??(HELP PLZ)

ight here it is im buyin a 250 HPS and/or MH and i wanna find out how hot they run, because i wanna find out if i can do the grow without a cooltube

i dont know exactly but my 400 watt hps in a 2 x 2.5 x 7 feet closet gets at about 80 degrees with a muffin fan blowing at the bulb

do u have it in a colltube??? and how close do u ahev the muffin fan

When I ran one 250 halide in my bedroom grow it was enough to keep the whole room a little warmer than the rest of the house. When I ran two of them, I was totally toasty warm even with a foot of snow outside and well below freezing.

But the bulb is only half the heat and if you remote mount the bulb you don't need a cooltube as long as you have a fan in the box for exhaust and fan to blow on the bulb.

It's not too much heat unless you live on the top floor of an apartment building in summer with no a/c and don't exhaust outside directly or into the attic or something.

You can comfortably have the plants 4" from the bulb with a fan and your hand could be 1" from the bulb and not burn yourself.

coo so it must stay around the 70-88F than huh??? and wat u thin bout a basement?? or the top floor of a house???

Nope regular reflector its the sun leaves pulsar one. the muffin fan is on the ground pointing directly at the bulb. the reflector is about 30 inches from the ground.
