How high do you fill your pots?

I just transplanted and was wondering this. Do people usually fill it to the top? I've been filling it to the line around the edge as demonstrated in this photo. Thoughts?

I fill it an inch from the top, If you fill to the limit it will be harder to water as it will just runoff the edges.

So no reason to not fill higher then? Time to go buy more soil :\

yeah I always leave a inch or so just for the water factor gives it alittle lip so dont run over the edges

Yup I do the exact same as the other 2 posters. In that pic there is an aweful lot of wasted root space if you ask me, thats how I look at it anyways.
