Im new to this grow thing (i'm loving it!!) but like all things it has its up's and downs. What "home grower" can say...the whole grow went GREAT!! we all (i think) have this or that problem within the grow cycle, minor as it may be, but never-the -less some type of problem. Most of the "problems" (i think) the "plant" works out on its own, like it has been doing in nature for thousands of years. All i ever hear is...Cal mag this and nute def. that. How did this wonderfull, Beautifull plants we call MJ survive without our so-called help?? To all you NEW growers out there, Plant your seeds, sit back and relax, it will come (the buds) Thats what they do, they give us buds, they give us joy!! By no means i'm i saying to "egnore" your babys, i'm just saying...let them do what theyve been doing for thousands of years WITHOUT our help. I know alot of ppl here will say you have to give the ferts, nutes, ect. and say you may, but just "relax" go slow, its a plant, they grow on their own time not ours. Injoy them, watch them and best of all when there done doing wath they do SMOKE THEM!!:joint::mrgreen: This is just something ive been wanting to get off my chest for awhile. It probably wont get many replys but thats not why i wrote it, i wrote it for the guy or girl who is froustrated by hearing that...it might be this or it might be that or it has tomuch of this when another guy just said NO it has to little of that, you all know what i'm talking about. Just try to enjoy your plants and they'll reword you in the end. Thank you all.

I couldn't agree more. It is a weed. Farmers have been trying to get rid of it forever, yet it keeps coming back.

Next season I am going to have at least 2 plants that I am not going to do anything to other than water. We'll see what happens! :)

Partly why i get annoyed by a lot of silly question threads, a good proportion of questions seem to be answerable by "keep waiting"

The only time i actually check in on my grow is about once a week come res change, i know that if the lights and timer is working, they're going to be doing their thing just fine without me falsely creating issues that need to be fixed as is often the case :D

every body else pretty much said it but ill be a lil more blatant. People fuck shit up! look at trees and there growth thru history. nowadays we can climb most of them fairly easily and there average diameter 30-40 inches but then theres those infamous trees that are like 6' wide remember the brontosaurus and that long neck that was necessary to reach those trees polution and all that stuff doesnt permit such flourshing vegetation and in the places that arent effected we feel the need to go chop it down and continue to find new ways to fuck it up

P.s. i probly ranted and this may not make any since but prof-reading is for Nerds. lol

Hmm no thats a misconception/myth IMO if you look up weed in the dictionary it says

A weed in a general sense is a plant that is considered by the user of the term to be a nuisance, and normally applied to unwanted plants in human-made settings such as gardens, lawns or agricultural areas, but also in parks, woods and other natural areas. More specifically, the term is often used to describe native or nonnative plants that grow and reproduce aggressively.[1] Generally, a weed is a plant in an undesired place.

So if your growing something undesirable and something that is considered a nuisance your in the wrong field. Happy Growing :)

A couple things your all forgetting about!
1 MJ made it all this time outdoors not in.
2 No matter what soil you have it's not going to have the steady supply of things our plants constantly use like outdoor soil will.
3 Evolution. All the prime genetics that we created have evolved and learned to use all we give them. And now they need it.
4 Think about how the plant is very small right out of the seed. Now think about how big they get. Now think about what all that plant matter was made from.

With that being said I agree that most way over feed.

the 8 foot beasts in my garden have gotten about 80% less attention than my indoor plants, i brought them up, put some castings and compost in their hole, and transplanted them. I only water them during hot streaks and they are doing 1000x better than any indoor plant ive seen.

I converted an old flowerbed into a garden this year. My first grow. Mixed in some new potting soil and planted 4 seeds. I didnt even germinate them. I picked good looking bag seeds and squeezed them to make sure they didnt break. All 4 sprouted. All I did was water when the soil became dry for 4 months. One ended up male. But now I have two 5ft & one 6ft fems. The garden is 3ft by 25ft and I also have other veggies & fruits in there prolly 20 plants in all. Almost all my garden started to turn yellow at the same time. Figured too many plants sucked the nutes out of the soil. So I added some generic ferts and problem is gone. So even outdoors sometimes the soil can be lacking in what any plant would need. Ask any farmer about rotating his fields.
