How foreigners get weed in China?

Old post up again.:wall:

I'm a frequent traveler to China and other overseas destinations.
I was just over in China and Thailand last November visiting friends.
My son and I were over in Krabi Thailand cruising at the beach. Some guy comes over pushing weed.
I started to scan around and could see 2 cops and what looked like and undercover slightly hiding watching in our direction. Just waiting for a transaction to happen.
Gave my son that, don't f_ing do anything look.
This guy was very persistent. So, we got up and left the beach.
Their drug laws are very strict and they will make an example of you.

My advice is, don't look for or ask about drugs. In any country where it is illegal.
Just enjoy your stay. If you can't go without, "Don't go".
No one going to save you.

You don't really live there though, like go to high school or something there. There has to be a better chance of finding some for someone who stays over there, oh yeah theres a much greater chance of people who were born and raised there to buy cannabis, china has nice cities with lots of lights.
So i would imagine the people over there would sell weed to each other.

I read on a website right now that if you're caught with more than 20 grams it'll be execution, but the cops do not know what weed smells like

Yep, don't live there. Have local friends that do.
I would trust what my local friends tell me about the consequences.
I take their warning seriously.
But, that maybe just me.
If someone is willing to go for it, more power to you.

absolutely disgusting.. i'd starve to death before eating that crap!!

i could have sworn 15 years ago i read an article about a resort in china where cannabis grows wild everywhere and you stay in little huts and can go pick as much wild cannabis as you want and dry it out.. but now i can't find anything online about it.. maybe it was back when cannabis wasn't a big deal in china, apparently on-duty police used to smoke it at music festivals and stuff

I watched a documentary on Japanese prisons a while back and the also have different stuff for foreign inmates. Like bread instead of rice, things like that.

Japanese prison is some bullshit though, I'd probably go crazy pretty quickly in there.

Looks five star compared to food in U.S. prison system.

Although China does not make precise records public, Amnesty International estimates that around 500 people are executed there each year for drug offenses. China holds mass executions every June 26, to celebrate the United Nations’ “International Anti-Drug Day.”

The earliest recorded use of marijuana for medical purposes comes from 2700 B.C. under Chinese Emperor Shennong. Shennong found marijuana to be effective
