How far into flowering with a female until buds form?

I have a female plant about a foot and a half tall and it has been in flowering for 12 days now, when can I expect to see the forming of the actual buds? (I tried to find it in the FAQ and couldn't)
 
you should be seeing buds forming now. anything with balls hanging is male. remember total darkness during the 12/12 cycle or you'll be wasting your time if light gets through.
 
It's deff a female. It hasn't been messed with at all during flowering and I'm still not seeing buds :( Stay patient? or do you think it could be a lost cause?
 
in answer to your thread q, two to five weeks depending on strain and conditions. make sure to keep it COMPLETELY dark for best results.
 
If I put some pictures up later, will you guys take a look and tell me your opinion for its first 12 days of flowering?
