How Far Away Should I Be?

i got 9 plants i started on march 9th. There like 4 inches tall and im using a 400 watt MH. I started them about 2 feet away and moved it to about 1 1/2. Should i go closer?
 
The closer the better, but its up to you, if you do move it closer and growth slows or you see signs of burning back it up.
