How exctly do you harvest pollen?

When I start to notice minute grains of pollen fall on the leaves, I trim the flowers and lay them on wax paper. After a few days (when they are dried) I simply tap them with a glass stick. The pollen falls right off. I collect it into a glass tube that's sealed.
