if u have good drainage u should not get root rout but good ? i would like 2 no also

so the only way to know is to pull you roots out of the ground? can you do that to a 3 month old plant?

The roots turn brown and pull apart very easily. Some nutes turn the roots brown also, not to be confused with root rot. In hydro its usually caused by the nute solution being to warm ... like over 70 degrees. As the temps increase, oxygen is depleted and the roots die.

I haven't looked, but presume the symptoms are documented somewhere in the FAQ's.
IF you have the symptoms, you may be able to save thru transplant, at which time you'd confirm your suspicions. I'm guessing you'd have to trim away the diseased root-stuff in attempting to save a stricken plant, IF it's even possible.
