How do you measure a cup

Hi, do you measure up your ammendments using a 240ml cup? or do you weigh it up at 2 cups to the pound or 4 to the kg, we don't use cups here in the UK so not sure, thanks
 
You could just use a liter as 4 cups it will be slightly more then 4 cups by 40ml but it is pretty close.

Cups are still used in the UK for baking and measuring cups are available at wilko's or other places that have a good range of catering equipment.........................a 240ml cup would work just as good though, LOL
 
Got you, I'll use a litre jug 4 cups, just I read somewhere 2 cups to the lbs so wasn't sure if it was done with weight or volume lol many thanks

Done with volume, not weight. A cup of neem cake and a cup of rock dust are vastly different in weight.

DB is spot on, a 240ml will work just fine. We aren't baking, just using consistant amounts for measurements. Plus, you may find that slightly more or slightly less of whatever works best for you.

Thanks all, yeah I see now it's volume, I think I can buy measuring cups like DonBrennon suggested cheers
