id be happy too!
im sure I could explain it much easier

19 grams of oil for a half cup sounds about right though
id use the same amount of QWET as you use BHO, kief or bubble hash
maybe a little less!

my last batch of coconut oil/ hash capsules
I put about 6 grams of QWET in a 1/4 of a cup of coconut oil
filling up about 80 capsules (size 0)

they came out pretty strong
2 at a time was almost to much for some people
Dangit! Now I have to try this, lol. Your Avatar looks awesome BTW

In my standard butter recipe, I use 150 grams to 8 sticks butter - so almost 19 per 1/2 cup. Most of my recipes use 1 cup of butter. It works out to roughly 150 grams per cookie.

I always dry ice hash my trim/popcorn first. I use the dry ice hash in my hash coconut oil which I use for most candies (except hard) and my hash caps.

I guess what I need to know is like, how much bho, quet, or similar extract equals a cup of my butter?

I don't know if you have a thread on this or not... But if you posted your tutorial I would read it. Especially if you do it without vacuum purge. I don't have one. Which is one of the reasons I stopped making BHO.

how much i personally use depends on quality, and how much hash i have at the time
i normally use anywhere from 3-5 grams of any extract per half a cup of coconut oil

also im still experimenting on the proper measurements, and edibles in general
im more experienced in making the extract rather than cooking with it

im starting think your edibles are much more stronger than mine, unless im misunderstanding you
are you saying you use 19 grams of dry ice hash for a 1/2 cup of coconut oil?
if so then the ratio shouldn't be too much different, maybe just a couple grams less

i use a vacuum most of the time though it isn't entirely necessary with qwet
since the alcohol will evap at room temp, you could just wait for it to completely dry, scrape it up, than decarb it with the double boiler method
double boiling in a hot oil bath at 250 would also boil off or purge remaining traces of alcohol
which isnt necessarily bad

when it comes to bho i always use a vacuum and normally winterize my extract
but i mainly use qwet for edibles since i feel safer with grain alcohols

also Fumble, im not trying to switch you from dry ice hash to qwet with your edibles
dry ice hash, and kief are great for cooking,
i just prefer it simply because you can decarb it in the double boiler, and i have always been skeptical of oven decarbing
its always in the back of my mind if i decarbed it to its highest potential

when it comes to using dry ice to extract trichomes for smoking i do not recommend it
unless it is for a very quick shake
otherwise it just comes out really green due to the extreme cold and shaking

do you mainly make kief and dry ice hash fumble?
i can show you the best way to make a Full Melt Dry Sift using 2 screens
in less than 15 seconds
or possibly a way to refine your dry ice hash

im not fucking with you, yes full melt dry sift with no water!

Hello!

I'm curious how others out there make their butter. I have been using the 24-hour crock pot method for about 3 years now. I like it the best, but I have only tried one other way.

- unsalted butter
- shake/ buds ground into the finest bits
- water

After it has been cooking on low for 24 hours, I strain it through cheesecloth and pop it in the fridge. Voila!

I am not sure that I am getting all of the butter out of the yucky cheesecloth remains that resembles squished up dead bugs (even though I know it's just plant matter). If there are any suggestions on how to extract all the buttery bits at the end stage - I'm all ears!!! (or in this case - I'm all EYES).

I'd love to hear how YOU make YOUR butter!

Thank you!
i like to make my butter inbetween the sheets!!! ,,,,,,,,think before you type mainy think before you type???

I don't know how to make weed butter, in sure its quite straight forward,, but i do know how to make real farmhouse butter,,,,,

lots of double cream
a food blender

just add the double cream to the food blender and spin on medium ( if you can put the paddle attachment its better) for 10-15 minutes ,this will churn the cream and sepearate the whey leaving a lump of pure butter,,,the whey is your buttermilk for the morning pancakes,,,,that's it simples,,,,if you look on the back of butter packets there's usally alsorts in there and not much cream,,,this is how you make proper butter^^,,,,enjoy

I am sorry Mainliner, but with comments like these, it makes it really hard to take anything else you post in a serious manner.

When I dry ice hash, I am going for a large amount, but never to the green. I usually work with about 60 grams at a time. I follow BadKittySmiles recipe for making hash caps, but I add more coconut oil to mine. I will usually end up going anywhere from 2:1 to 1:1 teaspoons coconut oil to grams dry ice hash.

I make my butter from the leftover trim after Dry icing it. Two for one ;) I can measure the dosage on this easily, but not sure of other extracts as I don't make them.

Honestly - I don't know why unsalted. That's why I said because SCIENCE. I always read unsalted butter. I'm sure it has something to do with the cannabinoids being attracted to the fat and not the water, and the salt messes up the pH, or soemthing.

I like salt though, I just add more to my baking to make up for it, after the fact.

I keep it at low, low simmer. My crock pot doesn't actually have a temperature gauge on it...but low simmer is fine.

I think the best thing to do - is google box what you want. For example:

"Best X recipe"

Where "X" is what you want.

I'm just not a huge brownie fan myself.

I LOVE ginger cookies.

Also - and tho sis weird - but chocolate doesn't digest the same as other food. So I wonder if it takes extra long for a chocolate treat to be digested?

Amount that you are consuming - IS IMPORTANT. Figure out how much bud/ shake there is PER SERVING.

Then you don't have to worry about freaking the fuck out. hahaha

First, Whodat...did you used to go by WhodatNation or something like that? anyway :) I have tons of recipes for brownies, cookies, candies, pretty much anything you want. I bake most of my cookies at 375f and have no degradation of effectiveness.

I don't really use butter in my chocolates, I use my coconut hash oil. But that doesn't mean you can't ;) Simply melt down a bag of chocolate chips in a double boiler (very careful not to get even a drop of water in it or the chocolate will seize up on you) and add your butter. The more you add the softer it will turn out though, just keep in fridge to keep solid.

Do you like Snickerdoodles? Here is my WeedRdoodles (R) recipe:

sift together 2 3/4 cups flour, 2 tsp cream of tarter, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, and 2 tsp cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.

Cream together in mixer: 1 cup canna butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, then add 2 eggs and 2 tablespoons vanilla. Mix together until nice and fluffy, then add flour mixture in 3 additions (add, mix, add, mix, add, mix). After combined, add 1 bag of Hershey's cinnamon chips.

I use a 2 oz scoop for even measurement. I scoop all the cookies, then roll them into a ball and roll around in sugar/cinnamon mixture. If baking right away, bake at 350f for about 10 minutes. I bake all my cookies from frozen at 375f for 13 minutes.
