Ive been given advise to flush my sprouts. HOW do you flush? Not to mention how do you flush with EXTREMELY weak sprouts that cant even hold themselves up?

Who gave you advise to flush a sprout ?

Unless you nuked the lil guy with vast amounts of fertilizer flushing the poor thing would be the last thing you should do.

They were responses to my posts in the plant problems thread. I had given them miracle grow(though I tried very hard not to over do it...) almost all of them (out of 12) is dying..I think I have only like 2 that looks completely fine. They are very young. 2 weeks, but some are so small and wilted and turning colors ....

I hate to tell you this, really i do but if your fertilizing seedlings you really need to read the grow faq & not skip one single folder in it.

Seedlings require nothing except light & very small amounts of ph'ed water, you dont even think about using fertilizer until your a month or better into the grow.

Unless you have expensive seed bank seeds you'd be better off starting over with fresh dirt & seeds,in all likelyhood you have damaged the seedlings to the point where their growth rate will not be normal.

Seedlings can & will die off extremely easy from over watering which is what flushing is,to flush you take at the very least the same volume of water as the pot size & run it through the plant,a one gallon pot would need one gallon of water & so forth.

Unfortunately, I have no more seeds :( But yeah when I first started I gave them nothing but water and they did fine. I watered them 3 times with the MG water...and havent gotten to water them again with fresh water because their still too wet to water....I dont want to give up, because they are all I have, and its EXTREMELY hard to get more, as I dont even have a job at the moment so I have no money.... :-| The thing that bothers me, is I DID read all of the faqs before I started, but I didnt start till a couple days later and somehow...I had forgotten a couple things, and now that I realize that, it seems to be too late....

USE NOTHING BUT PH'D WATER... for a week or so and see... dude then wait a few weeks till you start with the nutes.. dilluted nutes at best... flushing is using PLAIN WATER... check the ph... get a pool testing kit at gaymart or ballmart or something... make sure its around 6.5 and just water them with water for a week or so.. good luck
