how do you check trichs

I understand you need a magnifier and the difference between the amber and the milky.But i dont know where to look for them on a plant.do you cut a sample or do they form on the out side of the bud. any help would be appriciated. thank you

Dude, you place the nuggett right under the scope, and BAM! I had never seen trichromes like that...
