How do we know a plant is ready to be flipped?

Hey everyone

As the title says, what am i looking for on my plants to show they have reached maturity and can be flipped?

When they start firing pistils?

I know they can go 12/12 from seed, but i would prefer to just veg them under 18/6 until they are ready and flip them as soon as possible

These 5 are a rush job, i want to flip and finish asap, this is why im asking

thanks.

What are signs a plant is mature?
for me its when the lower fan leaves a few (edit: of the stems) will get purple. you will notice if any deficiencies or under watering they will be the first to drop off

also the leaf sets will be staggered instead of opposing

one more is if the leaves are about the same diameter of the pots maybe wider is a good idea its time to flip or transplant, whatever u think

you might see some signs of sex you may not, depends on your strain and conditions, you can flip and force it to show signs very early then revert back to vegetative state by altering light cycles. Even if I dont think a plant is fully mature if I dont have enough space i will flip it to 12/12 and then it will show you its sex in the next few weeks

Dont rush it bro I like the set up you look like you have a HID light in there so you might have 4 more weeks to flip, even more if some are males so what im saying is be patient lol unless u really are restrained just flip em . it would be a shame not to let those veg a little

yeah transplant those and wait a week then flip
Nah, im not looking to transplant them again, im just looking for signs that they are ready to be flipped

they were just moved into these pots before the pic was taken, my hydro store has no soil left to buy and wont be getting any in before id need it, kinda leaves me just finishing them where they are.

lol nah man you got it a little wrong....im not looking to maximize my yield from these plants, quite the opposite, i want to flip and flower them as soon as they are able, i need them to get finished, i need the space back asap.

I need these to finish because my medical grow is gonna be ready to go and id rather these be done ASAP so i can start growing my new count of 49 with my new e&b setup

From the moment a seed pops the soil and with four weeks of perfect growth - no sooner can you flower as a rule or it will add on time in the flowering tent before showing flowers.

Ive yet to meet an auto any quicker either...

This for indica dominant, heavy sativas probably fussy slow growing idk or have the time to check them

:-)

There is no right time ,you operate the timer you decide ,most strains grow rapidly for three weeks ,a lot of growers end up with over grown plants with a lot of crap where light can’t get at which is wasted plant energy

Omg its like a fad now, how much can i trim back.... Wow :-)

Ya this is what I read/heard/seen somewhere else before.

If they weren't ready to flip you waste time by putting them in flower. Would be better off left on 18/6 until ready.

I want them to be ready before I flip them.

Thanks kg

At four weeks its not a quick flip but two weeks and under, once you grow longer things speed up a little but by then your four week veg plants are already flowering.

For a long time the four week rule off good growth has always been a good benchmark...

I see why some would suggest more veg time, they could do with a week, get em perky then flip.

No harm to flip early if they are happy - just take a little longer :-)

Pretty sure both Critical purple kush are showing N tox

leaves are dark green and her tips are pointing down. FFOF is the hotness, i assume they will grow out of it with another watering or 2

The 3 gelato.og in the front all seem fine.
