how do u top a plant

what must u do to top a plant...can someone help me out with this...thanks

i like to wait for about 4-6 well established nodes.. then take a razor and cut the main stem at the plants highest node.. the main growth will stop but at every node a set of new growths will shoot up quickly.. check the faq's for some great step-by-step instructions.. with pics

no it will grow taller... and you don't HAVE to top. It's really up to you, and your amount of space.
