How Do People Keep Males For Multiple Generations And Other Assorted Quetions, CBD Plants.

I have crossed a Dinamed CBD x Cherry Wine F2 and have planted 60 of the seeds. Culled about half and have just put 28 into flower. I have five males that grew balls and have dropped pollen. These plants have been in continuous 24 hr light.

Do I use this pollen or not? I am looking for CBD and no THC. Is it possible to keep these around for future generations? Will they give the seeds an auto trait?

I had 1 male do something similar under 18/6 still in veg. Some of the preflowers kept growing and eventually released pollen. As far as I know that is not a desired trait in a male you would want to keep around.

I have been told that also but not the reason for it.

I think its a sign of not very stable/strong genetics at the least.
What have you to base that on though? (No offence meant.) That is what I am looking for, someone who has tried growing out plants through a couple of generations starting with such a male. I probably will not find someone with that knowledge on the forums here. Otherwise it is just guessing at the result. The plants look healthy and have a lot more 'flower' than I have seen on other males. Other than going half cocked on their own they seem like they would make good candidates if they appeared as they do after a period in flowering. Maybe the seeds will end up being Autos. But if they do have the right CBD/THC profile and produce well, being an Auto is not a terrible thing.

Just based on what I found out from doing research on what makes a keeper male a while ago. One thing to avoid that was repeated in different sources was pre mature flowering. On the male I had that acted this way the flowers also looked weird and were hanging down on pretty long "stems" compared to anything I had seen before, so I didnt want it around on top of the pollen he was dropping into my veg tent.

I mean if they are autos its a given that they flower under any light, so probably normal? I only grow regular seeds, no fems or autos for me

Earlier I was searching for the stains that made up the Cherry Wine and I found where one of the parents may have some auto roots. But then another page does not mention it, who has the real cherry anyway? I just started on the hunt because I thought it might be interesting and if I came up with something that was worthwhile then great. If not I would try something else. A learning experience if anythng. It is almost like anyone can cross two THC stains and end up with something that is smoke-able.
