SO I have the ph test kit that you add a few drops of some special liquid into a vial filled with the liquid you want to test the ph of, and it turns the color of the ph.

To test a rockwool cubes ph what do I do? Rip off a piece of the cube and put it into the vial?

Ph your water to desired level, then pour water onto rockwool then ph the water that runs out of the rockwool......this is how you are supposed to pre-treat rockwool to begin with.....hope this helps.....

r u growing in rockwol or cloning. if u r just cloning then if your water is phed b4 u water then it will be the same when it drains, but if u r growing in rockwol then yes u want to test the drain when u give them straite phed wated, not when u feed. hope this helps

sweet! I learn something new everyday. What do you guys prefer for ph?

I set them to around 6.

Do I do the same when I add nutes?

Mix all the nutes together, then test that water, adjust ph, then adjust again after soil test if needed?

yes mixs your nuts then ph feed do that 2 feedings then on your third just water with phed water only and test runout, the adjust if need to

So your saying ph the mixture of nutes, and water the plants. On the third watering you do ph balanced water only and then check the runoff ph to see what the soil is?

WHat do you do if you check the soil and it shows its off? Do you immediately water again w/a ph level set to offset the soil?

You want your soil to be completely saturated at every watering , then allow it to dry out between waterings depending on conditions [ temp, hum, and drainage of your pots ] you should be watering every 3/4 days..........this helps get oxygen to the roots.....
