how do i figure out the most efficiant use of my space to produce as much dry bud as

can anyone tell me a decent formula, or way to figure out how to get the most bang for my buck in the limited space i have? For instance... would I be better off growing like 40 autoflowers, or 16 smaller pots with sinlge buds and stretch, or 6-9 bigger more dense plants with LST or cropping or etc???

right now, i smoke at LEAST 3.5 grams of meds a day, mostly toward the evening, when my pain & spasms get worse... Its SICKENING how much money i spend buying off the strets, even though its my buddy, same difference...want I want is not to sell to anyone, not a mega factory etc... I JUST WANT TO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY EVERY THREE MONTHS.. basically i need to produce enough to smoke on during the next grow cycle so i dont have to spend dough on it... as I cant work anymore, and my other meds are way expensive
i SUCK at math... plus my nerve meds kinda mess with me sometimes.. can someone help me do the math to figure out how much i need to grow to be able to smoke 3.5 grams a day??? THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL WHO HELP!!!

Well, let us know how much space you have to use and what type of lighting and equipment you have and I'll let you know my opinion on what should be done. I don't think you will find a formula per say, but I am sure others along with myself will help you the best we can. Let us know!

600 watt hps light, I have 9 12 inch pots right now on like 6 " cnters, but I have enough room to plant like 16 full size 3-4 ftr's, or more in a sog... the DIMENSIONS OF MY ROOM AND THE SPACE I USE OUT OF THAT ROOM ARE BELOW AT THE END

i have a 600 watt HPS, a 200 watt CFL, and a 150 wayy CFL.. i started small and worked up in equipment... I used it to grow tomatoes and hot asian peppers, and a few other vegetables... started them inside in the winter under the 200 watt CFL, and had bought the 150 watt HPS to flower my plants that i veg in my Aerogarden extra
I learned all i could so far by books, so i decided to finish my university by geting my plant scinece degree, then going for a masters in ethnobotany or molecular biology, and become a medical marijuana breeder and comapssion club owner... thats my plan anyways

for fans, i have one oscilating fan, a former oscilating fan that pointed away from my plants so it wont directly hit them, two usb micro fans on the floor in the back corners to move stale air, and a portable air conditioner to control the environment
