whats the point of having a phone number if u wont tell me anything? i call this place and ask what the first time patient/referral deal is. i have a friend who wants to refer me, but we only have a lil bit of money. we were just wondering what the minimum donation is in order to get the free gram or whatever it is.

but they say theyre not allowed to tell us over the phone. whats wrong with doing that? y do they always refuse? usually when that happens, i go to a place i know because i dont wana waste my time goin to the new one if theyre just gonna say i need more money

anyone know whatsup with this? it seems like the only thing theyre allowed to tell u is that they exist and theyre open(which i already know, because they answered the fuckin phone)

It's for the same reason you can't bring a camera into a dispensary.

They don't talk about anything that is for sale outside of the sales room. Not over the phone, not in the lobby of the dispensary.

Certain people in law enforcement and some DA's claim that prop 215 doesn't say you can sell cannabis under any circumstances. Dispensaries make this policy so law enforcement officers don't trick one of their employees to admitting they are selling anything. The second a dispensary admits that it has products that contain cannabis for sale, they are opened up to be shut down and put in jail.

Once a cop lies to a doctor to get access to the sales room of a dispensary, it's entrapment. This is why anything that involves cannabis sales is usually restricted to the back room.

couldnt they just ask me if im from any law enforcement agency? wouldnt they have to say yes? that would be entrapment if they said no, right?
and doesnt 215 say we r allowed to have access to medicine? do they think ppl will grow it and just give it away? thats rediculous. they have to sell it, or at least get their money back(if they werent for-profit)

Nope. That's a myth (probably started by cops). Cops are allowed to lie. It's not entrapment. Cops are even allowed to smoke weed to make a bust. The only sure fire way to prove someone isn't a cop is to have them give you bud. A police officer may not give someone a substance to be distributed illegal and let them walk away with it.

Yes. You're allowed to have access. Collectives are allowed to dispense medicine. I guess these cops think they should only be allowed to give it away. It's an absurd interpretation of prop 215. You have to really want to bust people to even attempt to see prop 215 as saying that. But many cops/DA's do.

True a bunch of dispensaries will not provide information over the phone.
There are a few that do in my area.
The reasoning is simple. Medical Marijuana is not 100% legal at this time.
its unfortunate but shops are still paranoid of getting busted by the FED.
Most of the shops I have been to are worried everyday that it might be the last day.
and yes most of the shop are making a profit, a big one. Its like since they are so afraid of getting busted they want to generate as much capital until they get raided.

Why do I think they are making a profit? I have seen a ton of crappy meds. going for regular prices.
I've seen imported bricks with higher thc levels than the above mentioned crappy meds. :(
