Best bet, either drop your lights or raise your plants so they are as close as possible without the top leaves showing any burning. The standard "test" for this is to put your hand as close as you can comfortably to the light to where you could leave it there. Find that range where it's about to start getting warm, and put your plants there.
I grow with CFLs also, 125watters can put off a bit of heat but still nothing compared to a HPS. I have 3x105w CFLs and my canopy sits comfortably 4-6 inches below the lights. You'll probably be good somewhere between there and 12 inches. If the top leaves start looking unhealthy or dry, add some more distance. But yeah, using your hand as a measure of heat is the easiest way, and the closer your plants can safely get to the lights the better.
