How Canada can ensure legalized pot trumps the black market

Silly plebeian legal marijuana is only for those that have the money to control it. So, so far seems in Canada we have two options. Keep it illegal like its always been or have it legal but you can only smoke it legally if you buy it from a few connected LP's and we'll still send you to jail if you try to grow it.
I think you're jumping the gun. We have not been told legalization will not include personal grows. We need everyone that cares about legal weed to put down the bong long enough lobby for what we want. There are a lot more of us than there are LP's, we should be able to drown out their whining. The simple fact that we are free to brew beer or grow tobacco makes it very likely that weed will be the same. Once it is a legal substance, there is no argument left to treat it any different than any other substance for adult consumption. Just my prediction...we'll see.

In reality you don't matter. The average Canadian could care less about putting an effort into voicing their opinion about legalization, people have way more important things in their lives, sure there are a lot of people who want cannabis legalized, hell I want it 100% legal but the majority could care less. There is potentially HUGE amounts of money to be made by the LP's, they have invested tens of millions and they have shit load of money and x politicians in their pockets to lobby with. Medical Cannabis users got Conroy who got them nothing so far and costs 100's of thousands to now be stuck with a judge who seems to have gone mute.

I don't think it's about whether 'I' matter. The LP's do not and will not have any bearing on my charter rights. The government can't justify discriminating against a group for using a LEGAL substance. If we are able to brew beer and grow tobacco, we will be able to grow weed. I'm not saying the LP's aren't trying, just that the courts will defend our rights.

I optimistically agree!
