How big should my plants be before I flower Them?

I was wondering How tall I should wait for them to be? I mean they are definitly all mature enough since they have been vegging for about a month now but i dont wanna start to flower them and have some 2 foot little plants haha There about 1 foot now if that.

Are any of them showing presex? If so, you can flower. Most plants stretch 2-3 times their height in flower from when you veg them.

no presex because i havent flipped them yet. I wanna flower them but i dont want them to hurt yield wise because they were to small.

it depends on the size of your footprint. if you have 1 lamp w/ 600 watts you will have a footprint of about 4x4. 1000w is bigger. you can veg as long as you want but if the lights don't support your plants size when you flip then you waited too long? does that make any sense?

Wrong question amigo. You should be asking "how tall do I want my finishing plants to be?" How much room you have between your top colas and your flowering light is the proper inquiry. That's because chances are you will have plants growing into the light if you do not know how to avoid it. Here's how an experienced perpetual-grower decides when to flower -- I know I want my plants to finish at 40-48 inches tall. That's because I have my flowering plants on a table to keep them close to my 1000W bulb. I know my indicas stretch (the amount they grow in flowering mode) so they finish at twice the height they started flowering at. So I veg until they are 20-24 inches tall. I know they will double in height and finish right at 44 inches or so. I start seedlings in solo cups for 10-14 days. That lets the roots fill the cup real quickly and the plants grow quickly. TP from solo to small 3-quart pot for 2-3 more weeks. TP again into 1.5-2.5 gallon final pots. I FIM all plants after 3 weeks vegging to increase bud sites and keep the height short where I want it. Works 4 me, BigSteve. P.S. - When weighing different advice here it is a good idea to check and see when the advisor joined this site. An early start date, like mine, should be evidence that the guy knows his stuff. Be careful out there.

Like steve above, I grow to fit my room [measuring from top of pot to top of canopy]... 15" Tall max in Veg...
and I have room for 42" under lights in Flower... so I'd want to grow a 36" max plant... My plants [clones] double in height from veg to bud...
So in veg, 12-15" max which always stretches out to 30-36"...
Plan ahead...Good Luck....

Heres a look of the grow room, This is the space im dealing with, During flower im gonna do some rearranging.

When a plant is sexually mature it will show signs of sex in veg u will get hair(pistils)showin

Well lets say they dont do that? haha Flippings definitly the best way to find out sex.

I have yet had a plant that does not show presex to me yet. I veg two months usually thats when they are mature... month n half to two months mature

Those are ready to flip when you are... It'll surprise you how much they will grow during the first 3 weeks of flower. When to flip is commiserate upon your space & light. If you keep them real tight & bushy you can squeeze more veg out of them but typically more than 8 weeks veg requires either SCROG or a large grow area with high watt lighting.(600w+)

I would transplant to a bit bigger pots give um 2-4 weeks more veg to fill in their roots and flip um. You will be thankfull when u harvest. Their upward growth will slow alot a week or so while roots are growing into the new pots. Just what i'd do from seein the pics. Nice lookin ladies!

Yeah I think all these guys going 12/12 from seed or just a three week veg are diminishing their returns by preventing plants to achieve their full potential... Unless of course it's all clones from a mama in a SOG or whatever. Danoo is right - fully vegged out plants should begin to show sex but it takes like 8 weeks unless induced through increased darkness. I found that supercropping around week 6 can help induce preflowering even under 18 hrs light.
