how bad does fucking up the light schedule affect your plants?

last grow i had hermies. and i got into a bad bad habit. i kept going into the grow and messing up the dark cycle....now my plants did not revert back to veg, but i did end up with a couple hermies that fucked up every plant in that spot.....seeds i hate em, unless they come in the mail.

i had 4 plants in one spot and i kept em there because 2 of m were bagseeds.
i always get nervous growing bagseeds and i never ever do it, but a friend had some nice nugs and he found some seeds and asked me to grow it for him.....

im not sure what made em go hermie though. could it be???
1 fucking up the night cycle?
or could it be 2----bag seeds suck and come with genetic defects that are not worth carrying on?

The answer to your question is "yes". Either of those two things can and will cause hermies. Put the two together and you're almost sure to get them.

Not all bagseed is from hermie plants though, most have regular seeds. They were generally grown outdoors and the males just weren't caught in time.

Stop fucking with your dark cycle, it's pretty simple. I guess if you like smoking seeds you can keep it up.

i would think it would be the intermittent night cycle as i've seen some really good bagseed grows. were the bagseeds the first to hermie?

Yup, you gotta take that light cycle seriously.

i grew 60 plants 2 harvests ago and i had no issues. all the seeds were bought from online, all high grade seeds. out of 65 i had 3 males, the rest were all fems that i grew to harvest. no bugs no hermies no nothing. it worked out great, but as soon as i grew them damd bag seeds, thats when the issues started..
and im not sure which one went first. one day everything was good. then as the buds ripened up i noticed they were seeded...what a bummer.
one thing i did change was the placement of my fan. the 2 in front got completely seeded. the 2 in back away from the fan blowing werent bad at all. one was just all seeds though. i mean like 8 million seeds, so im guessing thats the one that hermied and the fan did the rest. i also get those big hairy bees in my room too. i have no idea how they get in though. wtf.
no more bag seed for me.

1 400watt
3 100 watt hps for side light and 6 4 foot 2 tube floros . im hoping all the light together will help them reach full potential.
before i wanted to grow as many as possible. now i know how much work it is. now im figuring i can give full attention to 10 or so plants..
