How are my plants looking

Hey guys, these are my babies. IMG-20120614-03358.jpgIMG-20120614-03359.jpg Id say about 3 1/2 weeks old. Their both indica plants.
I want to know when should i start seeing bud, and signs of male or female?
 
Seeing bud? Those are like seedlings still man. And kinda stretchy. Depends where you live man, if your relying on sunlight then its a seasonal thing. The plants will start flowering when the photoperiod for that variety of cannabis has reached a certain point. so maybe its 12 hours light or only 10 hours light. Hopefully you planted a variety that works in your climate. Other than that yea they look healthy.

They look about a foot tall, so he could definetley flower them. You can either wait till around September, or bring them indoors and put them on 12/12
 
You've got a long way to go before you start to see buds, like max said it's seasonal not 'til end of summer when the sun is low and on the red side.
 
They are ok problem is you growing them in the shade, if you had enough sun for those plants the clover and weeds would be dead. Also when you prepare the hole make sure you mulch the worked area if in full sun. Whats that giant weed leaf shading it????
Get out there clear around the plants ,cut down trees and weeds that are taking all the sun and finally they will start to grow.
