Hello there fellow smokers, growers and bong tokers. I am currently in my first grow, and first transition with organic soil in 5 gallon grow bags GH flora novel grow and bloom nutes. For lights I have one California lightworks solar system 550 led with controller and two CLW uvb t5 fixtures. Watering every few days as soil needs it with a liter of water/ nutes. I also have topped the plants twice. They have vegged for about 7 weeks from seed at 18/6, and in transition I have been decreasing the amount of light per day by 1/2 hour in morning and evening until it hits the 12/12 cycle to try and reduce stretching as my plants are almost half the height of my tent as of the start of transition. Mind that these are bag seeds and I do not know what they are but I believe one is indica and two are sativa and the last may be a hybrid, if I had to best guess in my opinion.

So how do you all think my grow is going for a first timer with commercial grade blurple lights?

i have to agree with the above mentioned there, back off, you can see it in the tips of the leaves

see that yellowing of the tips...

GL....nice job so far

I have backed off the nutes. since then the yellowing and curling tips are from the last few weeks of veg, was mixing 3/4 strength nutes at too low of pH for soil. Most of that is from light bleaching due to rapid growth when I transplanted from 2.5 gallon nursery pots to 5 gallon bags. I am now running .5 teaspoon of grow and bloom per gallon of water for transition and slowly been increasing pH from 5.5-6.0 to 6.0-6.5, I pulled a stupid and was pHing my water for hydro, not for soil. Someone has corrected me on that in a different thread.

Looks great - one thing it seems from the photos is that light is skewed a bit towards the back right plant - the others seem to stretch that way.

That looks like K deficiency.

Magnesium deficiency

Potassium deficiency, magnesium deficiency, any household way to help add a bit back in? I want to say that they may be deficient due to my dumb as ping for wrong medium.

As far as my light goes I have the fixture exactly in the middle of the tent "square" and the plants are in quadrants under them it may just be the way I took the pictures for the possible stretching to back right.

It ok man we all should learn from our mistakes. What brand of nutes are you currently using?

I am using General Hydroponics flora nova grow and flora nova bloom. I also he a bottle of flawless finish, for the flush obviously haha!
Honestly if you were phing for hydro, in soil, maybe you locked out potassium. Im in coco so I know the best ranges where each nutrient gets absorbed. In soil Ive heard that 6.4 is the sweet spot. If youre in flower than they need still need a little N(until stretch is over. usually 1-3 weeks) but they will need P,K,Mg, and Ca more those first three weeks. Keep using the nute strength you have now at the correct ph range and if it gets worse then bump up the bloom.

UPDATE!

Hello again, I'm now in my first week of flower and man these plants seemed to blow the hell up! Still watering with 1/4 strength grow and bloom mix. I do hope the stretch is over! I'm starting to run out of room in my tent.
What we think?
